Subways Sustainable Commitments
Subway are working hard to ensure they do their bit for a greener future. They have set out three core commitments that will help them become a more environmentally friendly business. Making change for Good, is their ambition to reduce the environmental impact they have and preserve the health of our planet. Meeting today’s needs with tomorrow’s solutions, is a focus on reducing their impact on the environment from global supply chains to local communities from where Subways franchises operate, and Promoting Wellbeing, a mission to help customers live well-balanced lives through the food they offer.
Each of the initiatives above will play a part in the future. To date, they have made progress from removing over 1.2 million kg of single use plastics from their supply in Europe, implementing best practices to reduce energy consumption, to introducing recycled uniforms for staff and sourcing produce more responsibly.
Paving the way for a greener future with Powerhub
The popular sandwich chain Subway opted for Coolnomix, in a bid to save money through energy reduction and improve their carbon footprint. The impact Coolnomix has had is impressive, saving 23,000kg of carbon emissions and over 110,000 kilowatts annually.
