Coolnomix Case Study: MOTO

Coolnomix services Moto’s energy usage by providing huge savings

Moto, A brand mostly recognised by those who are travelling around the country sees over 120 million visitors across their UK sites each year. With an operation of this scale there are risks of using too much energy and having a poor carbon footprint.

The UK’s largest service station is shifting focus to improving their ESG rating, and becoming a net positive business by 2050. Powerhub have assisted on the journey by installing 150 Coolnomix units that has reduced carbon emissions by 28,300 kg annually.

Moto’s ESG goals

Moto recognise that the long-term success requires the integration of industry-leading Environmental, Social & Governance practices and policies across the organisation. In developing Moto’s ESG strategy, the aim is to address the biggest sustainability challenges facing the business, society, and the planet and meet the expectations of colleagues, customers, and other key stakeholders.

The ‘Positive Journeys’ ESG strategy has been developed as Moto’s approach. The strategy is based on a review of where the organisation is today and an identification of and plans to address the issues that matter most to the business, stakeholders, and partners to achieve Moto’s sustainability ambitions.

Moto’s sustainability purpose is to become a net positive business by 2050, putting more back into the environment and society than Moto takes out.

Moto have set out a range of goals to meet by 2025 alongside their partner brands.

The installation of Coolnomix is one way Powerhub is helping Moto on the way to their environmental goals.
