Solar Case Study:
Commercial Office Building

Project Overview:

Client: Commercial Office
Location: East Midlands Airport
Industry: Commercial Office
System Size: 135.64Wp + 224kW Battery Storage
Carbon Savings: 23,330kg of CO2 / Year
Annual Energy Generation: 114,851kWh

Background:

Our client asked us to provide a tender price for a solar project. They were focused on reducing cost and reducing their carbon footprint.

• Challenges: The office consumed large amounts of electricity and the entire roof would be needed to mitigate costs.

• Objectives: Reduce annual energy costs and the reliance on the grid whilst maintaining a commercially viable solution.

Solution Provided:

• System Design: A roof mount system utilising HT 495W panels. We also looked at a solar car port and offered both designs.

• Installation Process: Installation of roof mount array The install was then 2 weeks on site.

• Technology Used: 2 No. FoxESS T20-G3 Inverters, 1 no. FoxESS G Max 225kWh battery.. HT60-18X(ND)-F-495 Solar Panels

Results & Benefits:

  • Cost Savings: Estimated energy cost reduction per year £35,304 / year.
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction: Reduction in CO2 emissions 23,330kg /year.
  • Energy Independence: 27% reduction on reliance from the gird.
  • Self-Consumption: 94.3% Self consumption.
  • Return on Investment (ROI): 5 years & 6 months.
