The Holiday Inn in Stevenage took decisive steps toward energy efficiency and sustainability by partnering with Powerhub Solutions. We delivered a full-spectrum solution that included:
• A Commercial Solar PV
• Voltage Optimisation (VO)
• KBR Energy Saving Solution
This multi-technology rollout has significantly reduced the hotel’s carbon footprint and energy spend with combined annual savings of over £27,500 and over 27 tonnes of CO2 saved.
Commercial Solar Panel Installation:
In May 2025, Powerhub Solutions installed a custom rooftop solar PV system at Holiday Inn Stevenage. The design was tailored to fit the hotel’s energy needs and roof layout. This project marked a key step in the hotel’s shift to more sustainable energy.
The Installation included:
• 127 x 500W DMEGC solar panels
• 63.5kW total system capacity
This high-performance array generates an estimated 48,900 kWh annually, powering the hotel’s daily operations with clean, renewable energy and reducing exposure to fluctuating electricity prices.

• CO2₂ savings per year: 12.4 tonnes
Voltage Optimisation Installation:
Installed in January 2025, our Voltage Optimisation unit enhances power quality and reduces voltage-related energy waste without disrupting hotel operations.

KBR Energy Saver Installation
Installed in December 2024, the KBR Energy Saver was installed at the Holiday Inn Stevenage to reduce energy waste across multiple operational areas, including their kitchen, bar, and restaurant. These intelligent energy-saving solutions optimise a range of electrical equipment, from bottle fridges to beer cellars, helping to lower consumption without impacting performance.
Forecasted Year 1 Impact:

• Carbon Savings: 10,627.4 kg CO2
